Salary Range:              $15 to $17 (hourly)

Overview:

This position reports directly to the Transportation Center Manager.  This position is supervised by Client’s Transportation Management.

The primary responsibility of this position is ensuring that all transportation services provided to Client Employees is safe, reliable and on-time, which includes oversight of the vendor/operator ensuring an efficient, well-organized operation. Another responsibility of this position is to provide and monitor the commuter Shuttle Service while providing exceptional customer service, meeting the established expectations and responding to employee transportation requests. This position will also manage special projects as required by Client Transportation Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and verify on-time departures of commuter buses, and transit shuttles via TMS (Transportation Management System)
    • Monitor vehicle flow and direct vehicles as needed
    • Monitor and record delayed arrivals and report to Transportation Center
  • Ensure commuters are directed to the correct bus and provide ETA information as necessary
    • Answer questions relating to services and ensure passengers are informed of any service changes
  • Monitor vendor/operator equipment to ensure safety of passengers, and report any service concerns to the Transportation Center
  • Monitoring, recording and submitting all lost and found items to the Transportation Center
  • Assist passengers with ADA requirements and ensure appropriate ADA equipment is provided
  • Assist passengers with items that may need to be stowed in the cargo storage area of the Commuter vehicles
  • Assist passengers with the loading of bicycles on vehicle carriers or cargo storage area
  • Assist with communications of program resources and provide appropriate information regarding Commuter services
  • Assist Transportation Center Representatives and provide coverage during breaks and shift changes
  • Assist Transportation Center with event staffing as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of transportation and commute program related experience
  • Strong GPS tracking and dispatch related skills
  • Read, write and speak English to the extent necessary in order to perform his/her essential responsibilities.
  • Must poses good communication skills and be able to handle the public in a courteous non-hostile manner.
  • Must have experience with radio communication equipment.
  • Must be able to work various shifts (day, evening, nights, weekends) as required by the needs of the business. Flexible availability required
  • Moderate computer skills preferred
